The village and surrounding area
Les Crosets is a family-oriented, sports-mad village at 1,668 m, just on the Swiss side of the border with France and constitutes one of the 12 villages within the Portes du Soleil (which includes, amongst others, Avoriaz, Morzine, Chatel and Champery). It is under 90 minutes’ drive from Geneva and in the Valais region, Switzerland’s sunniest and famous for its wines and traditional Swiss cuisine.
The skiing is extensive and covers all abilities; from beginner to expert. The mountains above the village create a natural bowl providing extensive off piste opportunities, but also La Chavanette (or The Wall), one of Europe’s steepest and most challenging black runs. Additionally the SnowPark gives those searching for greater thrills plenty to keep them occupied.
