Summer

The Alps are arguably at their most beautiful in summer, with wild flowers of every colour covering the mountains, and the gentle ringing of cow bells carrying across the valley.

When the snow melts, it gives way to an infinite number of hiking and all-terrain biking trails, criss-crossing the alpine pastures and leading to rustic local eateries. Local events such as the foire du bétail, an opportunity for farmers to show off the pride of their cow herds and an excuse for a very large party, add to the relaxing pace of summer life in a chalet in the Portes du Soleil.

Sporting opportunities are numerous, and include paragliding, canyoning, tennis, swimming, abseiling, climbing and fishing.
